So you may know that there are three groups of verbs in Italian.

We've got verbs that end in A-R-E,

like,

parlare to speak.

Verbs that end in E-R-E,

like scrivere to write.

And verbs that end in I-R-E, like Scriver-E, to write, and verbs that end in I-R-E, like Dormire to sleep.

You may also know that the ending of these verbs change, depending on who's doing the action.

For example, to say, I speak, we start with verb, parlare, we remove the aere, so we just get parl, and add o,

This is called verb conjugation.

And people often learn the conjugations one group at a time.

But this can be confusing and it's a bit of a backwards way of doing it

because many of the endings are actually the same for all three groups.
