They felt they had the right person. They really felt like she was good for this murder, but it couldn't prove it.

This was a state case which fell under the FBI's Safe Streets Initiative, so the task force was able to pull resources from local, state, and federal agencies.

for 22 years. In this episode, he reviews his polygraph examination of Corina Flores

Sanchez, who is suspected of murdering her living boyfriend. This was one of the first high-state

examinations George conducted as a brand-new polygrapher. Based on the initial confession she gave him,

Corina was convicted at trial and sentenced to state prison for a term of 80 years to life.

George was also interviewed about the truths and untruth surrounding polygraphs, what true

crime media often gets wrong about polygraphs, and his latest season of lie detector,

truth and deception, which premieres on A&E and Hulu on March 12th and March 19th.

George was assigned to the Los Angeles Division, where he worked a wide variety of complex

investigations and managed sensitive national security operations involving high-value

targets around the globe. In 2012, he became an FBI

certified polygraph examiner and was later promoted to senior polygraph examiner for the LA division,

managing the polygraph program for the second largest office of the FBI. George conducted thousands of polygraph examinations and contributed to solving crimes,

ranging from bank robbery and homicide to missing persons, crimes against children,

major theft, public corruption, fraud, extortion, and more.
