Today we're going to do some political analysis in an episode that's coming out just a few days before the election.

That might seem like awkward timing, but actually it's perfect.

No matter who wins on November 5th, my guest today

wants to see a new political faction rise up, one that supports an abundance agenda.

Marshall Kosloff is the host of two magnificent podcasts. One is The Realignment, supported by the Foundation for American Innovation.

The other is Arsenal of Democracy, produced by the Hudson Institute. As will become clear

during the conversation, I am a regular listener of both shows, and you should be too.

If you're exhausted with retail politics,

the realignment is a politics podcast you'll still want to listen to. It covers hard policy questions and the deeper tectonic power shifts in Washington. Very sophisticated, very forward

looking. Marshall plans to spend more time going forward

on the abundance agenda. He and the great Stephen Tellis will be doing regular episodes on the subject.

Arsenal of Democracy is, as the name suggests, about American foreign policy and national

security. But what it really is, and I love this, is a big, beautiful, unapologetic defense

of liberalism and the American idea. We need to up our game in so many areas to meet the threats of the 21st century,

especially the threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party, and accordingly, many episodes

of Arsenal of Democracy are basically the abundance agenda as applied to defense policy.

Part of what makes Marshall such an effective interviewer

is that he puts guests at ease,

but at the same time won't let them get away with lazy answers.

It's a very effective, but also slightly intimidating approach.
