Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Oh, those last couple of phrases in Psalm 30, verse 5,

weeping may tarry for the night.

I think weeping is a reality in a fallen, sinful, sorrowful world.

There is sadness in this world.

Things are not all as they should be. There is a mourning in this world. I think about people I know who've lost precious loved ones over recent days. I think

about others I know who've been hurt in significant ways by relationships

and things that have been done to them. And there is such grief and hurt and sorrow and sadness.

And in some cases, I think, when is this going to end?

And I'm guessing some of you are asking the same question in your own life.

Like, when is this going to stop?

I was talking to one person the other day.

It was just one thing after another, after another, after another.

And it was like, oh, when it rains, it bores.

Like, when is this going to stop?

It's a long, dark night.

That's where Psalm 30, verse 5 says, weeping may tarry for the night.

But joy comes with the morning.
