Hi there, welcome to the Bowry Boys, this is Greg Young.

And this is Tom Myers with part two of our epic road trip to the Hudson Valley.

We started our journey last episode with the trek along the old Croughton Aqueduct trail in Westchester County.

And like Henry Hudson, the namesake of the Hudson River, we are now sailing our Half Moon further up the river for a stop in the mid Hudson Valley area in the charming town called Hyde Park.

In fact, we're in Hyde Park right now.

Yes.

I don't know if it's a Half Moon or it's a blue Prius, but we have pulled in to into Hyde Park's decommissioned train station.

But a very notable and historic train station.

Yes, the original Hyde Park train station opened here in 1851.

Although the historic structure standing here today was built in 1914.

Of course, it was the train that went into Grand Central and has the same and has the same architects.

Warren and Wetmore.

We've decided to start our adventure here at the train station because although it is decommissioned,

for decades, this was the primary way of getting to the town of Hyde Park for most of its residents,

including some very famous ones that will be the center of our show today.

That's right.
