Thanks for tuning into the podcast.

As we mentioned on social media this past week, starting with this episode, we're going

to take a few, or several, weeks, and skip around and look at some different events that

took place in the summer of 1863, before we dive into Chickamauga, which we anticipate

spending quite some time on.

Not a Gettysburg amount of time, mind you, but still we'll be covering Chickamauga for

a while.

So anyway, with this show, we're going to look at the story of CSS Atlanta, a Confederate

ironclad.

And with the next show, we'll pop out to the Indian territory for the Battle of Honey

Springs.

And after that, we'll head down to Texas and talk about the Thermopoly of the West, the

Battle of Sabine Pass.

And then we'll also be using a few upcoming members episodes to talk about something else

that happened in the summer of 1863.

The Confederate cavalry commander, John Hunt Morgan's famous raid up into Indiana and Ohio.
