Summary

Luke 10:1–4, 17–20 In this week’s episode Jesus sends out 72 followers to share the good news. When they return, they are amazed — even the demons obeyed in Jesus’ name! But Jesus teaches them something even greater: “Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Jesus sent out 72 workers to prepare the way and tell people that God’s kingdom had come. The disciples were amazed by the power they saw, like superheroes in real life. Jesus reminded them that the greatest joy isn’t power — it’s knowing that our names are written in heaven. If you believe in Jesus, you belong to Him forever. 1:03.1	Jesus had been traveling from town to town with his twelve disciples.
1:09.1	Crowds of people followed him because of his powerful teaching and his miracles.
1:15.1	The blind could see.
1:17.8	Wow!
1:18.7	The sick were healed, and people were amazed.
1:22.9	Wow.
1:25.7	Jesus had already called his 12 disciples together.
1:29.3	He gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,
1:36.3	and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and heal the sick.
1:41.3	But now Jesus was going to have even more join the team doing this.
1:47.0	He chose 72 followers to go out and prepare the way.
1:55.0	Imagine how exciting and maybe even a little scary that would feel.
