The Oh, Hello and I have one spooky story for you today and today's story comes from Lorraine and it was sent in on the 1st of August

2024. My family has an odd relationship with anything spooky. By that I mean there are some strange correlations to my

family that are linked to spooky stories that we've often been teased about.

The list is long there and I'm not really comfortable going into details about it.

I'm only mentioning it at all because you could say that I grew up knowing a wide variety of scary stories

beginning at a very young age and as a result you would think that my family as a whole

would be numb to them as a result. Not the case at all. We scare easily and are overly sensitive instead.

And I don't mean in a psychic way sensitive, I mean we easily freak and have large doses of anxiety

sensitive.

But in this particular instance, that very sense of fear may have saved my life as a child, or the spirits did. I want to give credit where it may be due, covering my bases and all that.

I grew up in the 80s in a suburban area. covering my old

old neighborhood was a new old neighborhood was a new development at the time

all the houses being built in it called Ramblers.

To give you a visual if you go back and watch the original Poltergeist movie, that beginning

neighborhood could have been my own, right down to the guy pedaling on the bike with a remote control toy car chasing after him.

That was very much my childhood.

The big difference being in my case that instead of this newly developed neighborhood being built over a cemetery it was built right next to one and I mean that literally right next to it.

Hop a fence and you are standing on a gravestone.

Again, quite literally, as all the gravestones in this particular cemetery are all flat plaques on or in the ground. No standing stones allowed.

On the other side of this cemetery is a dairy farm called Winder.

It was a common practice for the kids in my neighborhood to go through the

cemetery to visit the Winder storefront. Bread making days were awesome. The smell was
