Welcome to another shorty episode of Mo's Monday Minute and this one is especially for my nursing student listeners. And I swear by this tip. And that is to color code your highlighting. So I know you've probably all seen

that funny meme where the nursing student has highlighted every single word on the page. You know that that's because

we feel like everything is important. But honestly, when everything is important, then nothing is

important because you would never highlight everything on the page. It's just a funny,

funny, like visual reminder of how much there is to know and learn in nursing.

What I have found has been super helpful for me is to color code highlighting.

Now, here's how you do it.

You want to assign key types of information to specific colors.

This helps you recall it more easily and find it more easily on the page.

So, for example, I would use orange for meds, blue for signs and symptoms, green for nursing

interventions, purple for diagnostic tests, et cetera,
