After reading an article about stem cell research, Scott invites Dr. Jeffrey Millman onto the show to talk about stem cells and Type 1 diabetes. Dr. Millman discusses how he and his colleagues developed a protocol for generating functional pancreatic beta cells in vitro from human pluripotent stem cells.
