Summary

The 2022 NFL season kicks off with a bang as Russell Wilson returns to Seattle for his first game in a Broncos uniform. What do we need to see from our Seahawks to pull off a Week 1 upset over Denver? Pete Carroll knows what Russ wants to do, and Wilson knows how Pete wants to operate on defense. But will Wilson want to take what he knows Carroll will give him on defense, or will he stay true to how he's wanted to win over the past 10 years?

For the Seahawks on defense, the biggest key may be stopping the Denver Broncos on the ground. With the tandem of backs the Broncos have in the backfield, it could make Wilson's day a whole lot easier if they're able to dominate the Seahawks defensive line. Although the Broncos are considered among the favorites in the AFC, we go through their roster and wonder if Russ really did upgrade his situation offensively by leaving.

In the second half of the show, we take a look at the quarterback situation for the San Francisco 49ers as it got a lot more interesting this past week. Elsewhere in the division, Aaron Donald has found the NFL's blind spot for maximum violence against an opposing team with minimum punishment. Managers of the Colorado River and Russell Wilson both need to do better as the Let's Ride Curse continues to have visible impacts in the world. Better at life honors go out to a former Seahawks player on offense and a current Seahawks player on defense.
