0:20.4	2024 presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. We discuss his ongoing campaign, the long-growing

0:41.2	agencies of their unconstitutional powers. All right, Mr. Ramaswamy, we said about four months ago,
0:48.9	which was the last time we talked that we would talk in about four months and here it is,
0:54.5	I was very interested after contemplating our last conversation in staying in touch with you
1:01.6	at least in part to get more insight into what it's actually like to be on the campaign trail.
1:07.2	And so now you've been hard at it, how long it's going to be? How long have you actually been
1:11.8	campaigning now? Well, it was last week of February that we began. So it's been just a little bit
1:17.7	over four months, close to five months. Right, right. So what have you, what have you learned?
1:24.5	Well, one of the things I've learned is actually one of the more surprising
1:29.2	expectations is that the political consultant class at the start of this campaign had a concern
1:35.4	about my style that I think they still continue to have today, which is the advice they give me
1:42.8	is to dumb it down, that this is no longer the era of writing books. As you know, I mean, you've
1:50.8	written more prolifically than I have, but the last few years I've been in a stage of life where
1:55.6	I've been writing books, examining issues with depth. I think the threats to liberty are complex
2:00.4	and I've been explaining them. And so when they said is, when you need to get used to the
2:04.1	political mindset, people don't have that kind of attention span. They need to be distilled into
2:09.7	bullet points, dumb it down when you need to or nobody's going to listen to you.
2:15.6	What I have found is that I have been at my worst when I'm doing that. And I've been at my best
2:22.0	when I'm more or less ignoring that advice. And that's less about me, Dr. Peterson. That's actually
