Today we are going to talk about antagonists.

Whether it's an action movie, a comedy, or a contemplative drama, story needs conflict and

antagonists create conflict.

So today we're going to talk about what makes a great antagonist.

But before our topic, we're going to talk about our weeks,

because there's two this week,

or what we call Adventures in Screenwriting.

Lorian, how have you been? I saw you today and I was like, oh, I was. and a hearty text session this morning already. So, uh, your face. We have been texting. Oh, okay. I miss your face too, and yours too, Jeff. So I don't remember last week, honestly, but this week, earlier this week, my daughter has spring

break, so she and I went on a little vacation for three days.

We ran away to Santa Monica and we stayed in a hotel which felt very risky but we were very safe and no one was at the beach. So it was delightful like we had our little space at the beach and no one, you know, people would walk by us, but it was so

great not to be tied to my computer and to be out of my house and that it was like a different dynamic now was just my daughter and I instead of the

trio that we usually have and you know I didn't have to walk the dog but most of all I didn't have the like my computer which usually no matter where I am in my house or my life
