severe changes are going to have to happen that could have been avoided if we'd acted sooner.

There have been promises to tackle the debt through growth, through doge, through revenue raised. After the president assumed office nearly a year ago, cutting waste, fraud, and abuse has been a central focus in cutting funds to a number of programs.

When tariffs began bringing in money, the president was asked in July if he would turn around and give some of that money back to Americans.

We have so much money coming in.

We're thinking about a little rebate, but the big thing we want to do is pay down debt,

but we're thinking about a rebate.
