I've been an entrepreneur for over 30 years and thrown thousands of parties across the UK

and I'm also the owner of the Bournemouth Sevens Festival.

Everyone who knows me knows I love people, having a laugh and asking lots of questions.

So I've been chatting to people with one thing in common. They've all lived eventful lives.

This week I'm delving into the eventful life of Ian Stafford.

Staffs is an award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster who's jetted around the world

covering the biggest and best sporting events. We chat about his experiences of the London Olympics,

the 2003 World Cup and what it was like witnessing first-hand some of the most iconic moments in sport.

He's boxed Roy Jones Jr., made the bench for the Springbox rugby team,

rode with Sir Steve Redgrave and had a tackling session with the legendary Joan Aloman.

He's a very brave man and a proper character. Here he is, Mr Ian Stafford.

Tell me a little bit about you and what you've done and what you currently do.

Oh, my goodness.

Where do we start?

For best part of 30 years, I was a national, international sports writer, sports journalist, went around the world, had the best seat in the house, and covered pretty much every major sports event that there was. I mean, you name it, I was there. I wasn't, I didn't do one sport.

I did them all, which was fantastic. Loads of stories, loads of crack. Best seed in the house.
