I started a knitting project that I definitely was not ready for. At first glance, it felt overwhelming—too complicated, too intricate, too much. And honestly? That’s exactly how some seasons of life feel. But slowly, with patience, help, and a whole lot of staying with it, something shifted. 1:22.5	overgiver instead of a receiver. And my real work for the past few years has been to learn how to open my
1:29.2	hands and receive. And so we're going to talk about that today too. But first I want to start with
1:33.9	the story. So back, I think in December, my girls and I, my two youngest girls are both knitters.
1:42.9	And they wanted to all make a sweater, kind of at the same time.
1:46.5	And they sent me the patterns that they were both going to do.
1:49.7	I didn't look at them very good at all, you guys, not even close.
1:53.8	And I basically liked the color best of the one Emmy sent.
1:58.9	And Ellie's had like three fish on it.
2:00.8	I'm like, no, I don't want to knit a fish sweater. So I said, oh, I'll do the one Emmy sent. And Ellie's had like three fish on it. I'm like, no, I don't want to knit a fish sweater.

2:07.2	And I downloaded the pattern, didn't look at it very good, ordered some yarn.
