Summary

Hebrews 11:1–12

This episode gently helps children understand the meaning of faith—believing even when we cannot see. Using the beautiful imagery of cloud-covered mountains, your child will hear how faith is trusting that God is still there, even when He feels hidden. 0:47.1	birthday. All right, as we start today's story, I'm going to start with something that I've noticed where I live.
1:01.2	I'm going to share it with you because I think it'll help you understand what we will hear in our Bible a little bit better.
1:07.7	And then we'll jump right into the book of Hebrews.
1:14.8	Okay, let's go ahead and start here.
1:26.5	Have you ever woken up early in the morning, rubbed your sleepy eyes, and looked outside, only to see gray clouds hanging low over the land?
1:32.3	I live in the mountains, and most mornings, if I go outside,
1:38.3	I can see the strong, tall peaks reaching up towards the sky.
1:43.3	Their tops shining in the sunlight. They are so big and beautiful.
1:48.0	It almost feels like they're protecting the land.
1:52.0	But some days, the thick gray clouds roll down, so heavy that they cover the mountains completely.
2:03.6	It almost looks like they've disappeared.
2:06.6	If you didn't know any better, you might think the mountains were gone.
2:12.6	But I know the truth.
2:14.6	Even when I can't see them, are the mountains still there?
2:20.3	Yes.
