Organic REV
The first thing to understand about REV is that it is not an ordinary humic acid product that is chemically-extracted from leonardite, lignite, or other coals.
Rather, it is a 100% naturally-occurring carbon, humic acid & fulvic acid source - along with exceptionally high levels of naturally-occurring microbial biomass
that can increase nitrogen efficiency by up to 25%.  REV replaces depleted soil carbon & bacterial biomass - and absorbs nutrients to make them more readily
available to plants via their root systems.

Hey there and welcome to the Beginners Garden podcast. As a beginning gardener, I remember reading a term that stuck

0:06.1

with me over the years. I'm not entirely sure how accurate it is, but it's definitely stuck with me.

0:11.5

And it's called the Summer Solstice Weeds Race. Here we are in the middle of June and the summer

0:17.5

solstice is very close to being upon us.

0:23.6

And what that means is that those of us in the northern hemisphere,

0:25.7

we get the longest days of the year.

0:32.3

What I took this specific term to mean was that heading up and ramping up to the summer solstice, we would see a profusion of weeds in our garden.

0:36.0

Not to say that once the solstice is over, we don't have issues with

0:39.7

weeds because we all know that's not the case. But we notice that they are accelerating as the

0:45.0

days get longer. And I would say that that has definitely been something that I've noticed in my

0:50.2

garden. We are all going to have to deal with weeds, no matter what our practices are,

0:56.0

even if we have put as many preventative measures in place in our garden as we possibly can,

1:02.0

we're going to be dealing with weeds. But one thing that I have noticed as I hear from so

1:06.0

many of you is that if you are a beginner or if you haven't made it around to putting some preventative measures

1:12.5

in place, you may be dealing with some major weed issues right now. We're going to talk today on the

1:18.6

podcast on why this is happening, and partly this is so you will know how to prevent it or how to

1:25.2

deal with it in future years, but also I'm going to talk to you

1:28.9

about what you can do about it now I don't want you to look at your garden and notice

1:34.5

that it's all overgrown and just give up thinking there's nothing you can do

1:38.1

about it because there are some things that you can do about it this season and

1:42.0

then also understanding the why behind all of this will

1:45.3

help you to be able to put some measures in place for next year. So today on the podcast, we're

...
