1:46.9	All right. So today's topic is mixadema coma. So mixadema coma is a complication of long-term,
1:57.2	untreated or very, very, very poorly controlled hypothyroidism that causes an inability for the body to
2:04.5	maintain homeostasis. Now, if mixed edema coma is not treated, it can lead to respiratory failure,
2:12.0	it can lead to GI bleeding. We'll talk about why that happens in a moment.
