Summary

What are the greatest ghost stories and haunted legends in New York City history? Since 2007 -- every October for fourteen years -- the Bowery Boys podcast has shared the city's most notorious and frightening ghost stories and urban legends. Over fifty-five stories and counting -- from malevolent wraiths who walk the avenues to strange spirits forever at home in some of New York's greatest landmarks. 0:38.0	This is the Bowry Boys 15th Annual Halloween Ghost Stories Podcast. How is that possible?
0:46.0	Our first ghost story podcast was released on October 11th, 2007.
0:54.0	George W. Bush was the president of the United States. Mike Bloomberg was the mayor of New York.
1:00.0	The DVD rental company Netflix first began dabbling into streaming entertainment that year.
1:07.0	Drag races were just for automobiles, and nobody knew who Lady Gaga was.
1:14.0	In fact, she was still going by Miss Gaga. Actually, that's she was going by little Gaga.
1:21.0	That's how long ago this was. And who was listening to us? We have no idea.
1:27.0	Maybe nobody was listening back then, actually, Greg, but every year since we have carried on this annual tradition, every October, of sharing spooky urban legends and folktales of Old New York.
1:40.0	Ghost Stories from all five burrows and beyond.
1:45.0	So today, we're going to celebrate celebrate the ghosts, witches, demons, creaking doors, and disembodied footsteps.
1:56.0	Today will be representing several of our finest stories, our favorite stories and yours.
2:03.0	Since 2007, we have told more than 50 haunted tales and the cob stories that are directly linked to New York City history.
2:12.0	And believe it or not, none of them have ever been fabricated.
2:17.0	I mean, perhaps occasionally embellished, you know, with Ghoulish effects, but all of them have been in some way real stories.
