I'm great David. I'm somewhere in Europe right now as we're recording this.

Yeah, on the road. Yeah, the magic of technology though, Europe looks a lot like my spare

bedroom. Yeah and it feels almost like you're time traveling doesn't it? You know a little bit so a little bit. We are we're pre-recording a few of these shows so that MacPower user listeners never never miss an episode. You can't have that. In fact,

ironically while you are in Europe I will be in Orlando Florida.

So we planned that really well didn't we? Yeah. But but today we are here to be talking about an issue that all

loyal Mac power users listeners have faced is how much do you want to become the

IT department in your world?

Do we have a choice, really?

We do, we do.

We're going to talk about that today.

All right.

I mean, most people listen to the show are the IT department for their friends and family and maybe even their work around them.

Yeah, and maybe it's your your own job, whether it's a solo, whether you're working as part of a small business, whether you own your own business, and then sometimes people just find out that you know a little something about this technology stuff and then you just

end up being the guy or the girl in the office that everybody comes to with their technology

problems and in addition to doing your own job you kind of become de facto IT.

It happens.

And I think for folks to listen to this show, it's probably happening to a lot of them.

And we thought it would be worthwhile to take a moment to talk about that you know what it

means how do you fall into that trap do you want to fall into that trap and if you

do if you are the happy parachutist coming in to save the day, what are some tools, software, and other things that you should have on your tool belt to help do that job?
