Here's what you can learn from a 150 trail camera study done over multiple years.

0:05.3

I'll probably run somewhere between 150 and 200 cameras.

0:09.2

Two years ago, and we had a good white oak acorn crop, I think I started out with maybe like 170 cameras.

0:15.3

What are the best dates?

0:16.7

If I was to go back through all my data, through all the years, I'm going to just tell you that I would say October 28th Halloween.

0:24.6

Are cold fronts overhyped or maybe not hyped up enough?

0:28.6

When I've done Moonphase, even barometric pressure and all that stuff, I don't see it anywhere near having the same effect as temperature.

0:36.6

We have Steve's shirt and you're

0:38.4

going to hear it all right now. This was the first year ever and I don't want to get too far ahead,

1:02.2

years now we're to look back in previous years but I want to focus on 2024 that's the most

1:07.5

recent of your memory and we haven't covered it yet.

1:16.5

But aside from that, how excited are you going into this season based off your summer scouting?

1:18.4

I've got to get a benchmark from you.

1:20.8

Yeah, no, I'm really excited.

1:24.4

I always get excited when we have a good acorn crop here.

1:30.1

I don't know if it's just me, but I know some hunters might complain sometimes when there's too many acorns. But the one thing I like about when we have a good acorn crop,

1:35.4

like I'm seeing this year, is we always have a lot better deer activity. The rut seems to be better.

1:40.2

So I'm just excited for, you know, for a good year where I think our deer numbers are kind

1:47.3

of increasing. Definitely a lot of good deer out there. I'm getting on camera and then given the
