Hi, Mike. Glad to be here. I am an IT leader in Boston area. I currently have a small team working at a property management company.

So how long have you been doing that with the property company?

Where did you get the spark in IT?

Well, I originally wasn't going to be an IT person.

I had my goal in life was to be a teacher.

I was an English major in school and I was into reading and writing about literature and poetry and I really wanted to be a teacher. I got

trained for and got certified to teach high school. Okay. This was in the mid-90s, so 30 years ago.

And back then, there were no jobs for teachers.

Like today, I think there's a shortage of teachers, but.

Right.

Well, and a shortage of pay for teachers, too.

The shortage of pay, too, yeah, yeah.

But a lot of people I knew were trying to be subs in different school systems

and then hope somebody retires or some opening happens and they have a little bit of experience.

And maybe some of the people know them.
