Welcome to Haveless Podcast. Today I have an episode for you. Actually, I have an entire two-part, two-month series that we are beginning today.

I have been working on this series, gosh, for a couple years, but our team has just been saying, we've got to do this series, we've got to do this series.

And I think we're ready. I think we're ready as a community. Our YouTube channel has grown significantly.

And we also are just seeing this hunger for this topic. And so we're going to do an entire

two-part, two-month series on the art of preaching. I'm going to teach you a little bit about

what I know when it comes to

communicating. And I also want to inspire you to be a lifelong learner. If you are called to preach,

if you're a communicator, to not just go, well, I did it. I am what I am. But actually to become a

better communicator. Because what we find is that there's a lot of us that are communicating. In fact,

when we sat down to do this series, we did a little research and here's what we found.

Collectively, about in one week in America, there are over 300,000 individual sermons,

teachings that are going out every single week in just the United States.

That doesn't include youth group messages, children's messages, women's messages.

It doesn't include like recovery groups or whatever it might be.

And when you do the math on that, well, there's over a million messages, a million sermons being preached

every single week in the United States. That doesn't include collectively, Europe, Australia,

and all the other places that people are communicating. And so it's interesting that when you really

do the research, there's maybe a small percentage that have been trained in theology,

but even a smaller group of us that have been trained in communication.
