And today, it's a big one, because we're talking about a very important figure,

Jonathan Rosenbaum.

That's right.

If there was a Mount Rushmore for us,

you know, an important cinema club Mount Rushmore, this man would be on it. Because more than

Roger Ebert, more than Pauline Kale, more than any other major American film critic,

Jonathan Rosenbaum has been banging the drum across his career for really whatever has been most interesting

and important in the medium at any given time.

I'm tired of people talking about Roger Ebert.

Didn't grow up with Roger Evert, didn't watch his reviews.

When I read his reviews or even watch him, he's a pleasant man.

Yeah.

And other than the fact that he was what everybody was watching, there's no value to that for me because there's no nostalgia there.

Yeah. Well, have you ever thought about this though? What if a good movie was thumbs up?

Yes. But hang on, it doesn't stop there. Okay. What if the bad movie was thumbs down?

What? And what if maybe his opinion was wrong every now and then?

Let me just post clips of that.

But what if I told you, Will, that at the time that Roger Ebert was doing this to a massive

audience, there was another man in Chicago that was also writing about movies.

And you know, it's funny.
