Summary

So many of us are coming to the realisation that we don't really know who we are anymore. We spend more time consuming other people's lives and personalities through a screen, than actually living out the person, values and passions that we have. On top of that, long hours, loneliness and the growing pains of our 20s mean many of us have no clear view of who we are. In this episode, we break down 7 tips to get your personality back, including:

  • Why your personality is probably frozen, not lost
  • The value of unproductive goals
  • The need for geographical novelty
  • The 5 soul needs you need to fulfil weekly
  • The journalling exercise we all need to try, today

Listen now if you're also feeling lost and disconnected from your true self.

Hello everybody. Welcome back to the show. Welcome back to the podcast. It is great to have you

here for another episode. Today, let's talk about how we are going to get our

personalities back. How are we going to reclaim who we are from the forces of scrolling and

0:49.6

overconsumption and comparison and distraction.

I have come to a pretty scary realization over the past month that although I may think I know who I am, I rarely actually act out the parts of myself that I most enjoy or that

1:08.6

I pride myself on.

1:10.0

And because of that, I'm in this like really aimless, lonely,

1:16.8

hollow kind of distracted place where like, I don't really know who I am anymore. And maybe you've

1:23.2

had a similar experience, a similar realization. A lot of who we think we are is just words.

1:28.3

You know, our actions don't always reflect it. And if someone was to ask you, you know,

1:32.2

how would you describe yourself? How do you spend your days? What are your hobbies? What do you

1:36.3

care about? What do you do for fun? A lot of us, you know, we may not like to admit it,

1:41.5

but we don't have an answer. We spend so much of our time consuming and

1:45.9

scrolling and working that we don't really have a clear or at least an executed idea of the person

1:54.2

that we are. This is how that expresses itself. You may not want to acknowledge that this is what's

happening to you, but if you are feeling detached, if you are feeling an increasing sense of anxiety that

2:06.8

you don't know who you are, you aren't where you need to be, if you feel boredom, loneliness,
