Beautiful place, by the way. Mm-hmm. Beautiful. Stunning. Well, today we have a topic that ain't so beautiful, talking about someone specifically who is quite ugly in all ways in my opinion.

As we were saying, he kind of looks like an ugly Bradley Cooper, Kroger brand Brad, you could say.

We'll see if people agree with us with us with a smidge of Cody Brown.

Yeah, a smidge of Cody Brown town for sure. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Now,

his personality is what truly makes him ugly. But today we're going to go all the way back to the very

beginning and look at the, really the rise and fall of James Arthur Ray. Uh, starting out with two people who become very important to the story

later on, Beverly Bun and Kirby Brown. And their introduction to James Arthur Ray was similar to that

of many others. They discovered the self-help guru through the secret, of course, as we just mentioned,

and subsequent appearances on

Oprah, which obviously being on Oprah's show is huge, is going to get you access to a huge

audience, and that really helped spike interest in his self-help career.

He was on there quite a bit.

And really got things going for him.

And James really became popular because he started, you know, he was looking at the self-help industry. He's like, how can I kind of carve my own path here? And he's kind of figured out that by combining different elements of other self-help gurus, you know, spiritual, financial, business, relationships.

The classic. Yeah, kind of, a new age spiritualism, kind of putting it all together into one,

uh, including, you know, the law of attraction in there, of course, that this would kind of create a, what he thought, a relatable, uh, sort of philosophy that people would resonate with.

Beverly said, I knew I had some shortcomings in different areas of my life and I thought I needed

something new to give me a new perspective or put me on a different path. And in May of 2009,
