Hello friends, welcome back to The Hamilkast. I'm Jillian, and you're right in the middle of

my conversation with Daniel Ascetta. Daniel was the original Samuel Seabury in the Australian

Company, and this is his second of three episodes. There's a good chance you've seen Daniel

before, either on stage, all around the world, and one of his many roles, or on TikTok.

Does the term Cottonite Joe kid mean anything to you? Well, no matter what the answer to that question

is, I hope he was in the last week's episode. Daniel talks about his lifelong love of performing,

starting with putting on shows with his superstar sister Kiara,

combined with his unapologetic determination and some of the most supportive family on Earth,

let him to wear his today. And yeah, going super viral is a bizarre experience,

and we talked a lot about that last week too. But today, it's all about Daniel's Hamilton story.

I feel like the first time that I listened to the soundtrack would have been, well, when it first

came out, obviously, but I was doing cats at the time, definitely. I remember I just listened

to the whole thing through once, because I was going to be coming to New York on a holiday,

and we had booked tickets, and at that point, it was still original cast. And so I was like, I'm

only going to listen to it once, because I love experiencing something for the first time in,

you know, but I also just wanted to be like, okay, this is cool, and I don't want to become

familiar with it. I just want to like take it as what it is. And then my husband and I, we

on this trip that we took together in March of 2016, we bought these extremely expensive,

especially at the time, not just like in American dollar, but the exchange rate to Australian was
