15-year-old Kaiya Vlasovah and 15-year-old Dennis Muravyev started dating in May 2016.

They were together for six months before they broke up after a fight. On November 9, 2016, Dennis made a post on social media that said,

forever in my heart, despite everything, sadly, that all happened this way. These were the most memorable seven months, only with you and my good. I did not expect this from you. Always believed you. I loved you. Love now and will love.

This post must have targeted Katja's heartstrings, because the two got back together. On November 11, 2016, the teenage couple ran away from home to Katja's stepfather's cottage, in Struge Krozhne, a small village 50 miles northeast of Skav Russia.

For the next three days, they stayed in the house, hanging out, smoking, and drinking. On November 14, 2016, Katja and Dennis woke up to someone knocking on the cottage's door.

Katja grabbed a knife, while Dennis grabbed an airsoft gun. Katja answered the door and saw her mother and grandmother. Katja's grandmother flew into Katja, demanding Katja give her the knife.

Not only tried to intervene, but somehow the knife was taken from Katja and Katja's hand was cut. Dennis threatened Katja's mother and grandmother and told them to leave.

When they didn't listen, Dennis took the airsoft gun and shot Katja's mother in the thigh. Katja's mother and grandmother were treated from the cottage.

The couple's troubles were not over. The police had showed up to the cottage. As the police got out of the van and started heading towards the building, Dennis went to the balcony and started shooting at the police.

This time, with a real gun, Katja livestreamed Dennis as he shot at the police.

The couple continued to photograph and livestream their actions for the next few hours. The photos and livestreams were on Instagram, Periscope, and Russia's version of Facebook.

Dennis posted three pictures to Instagram. One was a picture of him and Katja holding weapons with a caption that said,

Black Dolphin. One was a picture of the police fan he'd been shooting at with a caption that said,

I'm relaxing with my beloved. In a third photo of ammunition, alcohol, money, and weapons with no caption.

When the teenagers weren't posting on social media, they would sometimes go onto the balcony, handshoot toward the police, or the police fan. They shot at the police approximately 30 times in total.

Katja and Dennis' parents, saying the police all tried to give the couple to surrender, but they didn't want to.

During the livestreams, the couple explained why they'd run away and what they'd been doing over the last three days.

Katja told the livestream viewers that three days earlier, she got into an argument with her mother.

Katja wanted to spend the night at her friend's house. Her mother said no. And Katja left the house anyway.

Katja's mother found out that Katja was gone, found Katja, and quote, beat her up cruelly.

After the beating, Katja and her mother headed back to their house. It wasn't long before Katja ran away again. This time with Dennis, Dennis stole money from his mother, then bought the two bus tickets with the stolen money.
