Summary

In June of 2010, La'Rene Austin rushed into the Palmdale Sheriff's Office saying that she found her best friend Lanell Barsock dead in her garage.  She was covered in blood and frantic.  She spoke with detectives and was able to tell them that she saw the man who did it, LaNell's boyfriend Louis.  The couple's tumultuous relationship coupled with La'Rene's identifying him led to Louis' swift arrest, but as more evidence came to light, detectives began to question if they had the right person in custody.
