James, my optimism about the midterms remains high, and there was more good news and bad this week, but there were some setbacks. In Indiana, Trump, with massive spending, defeated

five of the seven Indiana state senators

who refused to follow his order on gerrymandering congressional districts.

The hope was if four or five of those survived, it would send a message to other Republicans.

That didn't happen.

And I must say I am increasingly worried about the Michigan Senate Republicans. That didn't happen. And I must say I am increasingly worried about the Michigan

Senate race. Mallory McMurrow was the strongest candidate I thought. CNN found all emails

where she seemed to prefer California to the Midwest. Not exactly a good credential for you're running in Michigan.
