Welcome back to Missing. I am Tim here today with Lance Lance. How are you today?

0:36.3

I'm doing fantastic today Tim. I hope everybody out there is doing as well as I am and I'm

0:41.6

very interested to know if you are doing as well as I am Tim. How are you?

0:46.5

I'm doing great. Thanks a lot for asking and I'm excited to introduce this conversation

0:51.8

that we had with former law enforcement, former NYPD sergeant actually. His name is John

0:59.2

Farriso. He used to work in the NYPD's missing person unit which is sort of endlessly fascinating

1:06.5

to me. But he is now a private investigator who donates his time for private investigations

1:13.5

for the missing and you can find out more information about them at investigationsforthemissing.org.

1:19.4

Lance, he's taken on the case of Jacob Michael Oliveir who has been missing since August 24th,

1:27.6

2011 from Homestead, Florida. At the time of his disappearance, he was 23 years old, five

1:33.3

foot six inches, 130 pounds, Caucasian male, black hair, green eyes. And if you have any information,

1:39.6

you can contact the Everglades National Park Service at 305242-7740 and this is part two of our

1:48.0

coverage of Jacob Oliveir's disappearance. We spoke with his mom, Laurie a couple months ago,

1:52.4

I think right before Christmas. But in this conversation Lance, John kind of tells us that he has

1:59.1

taken the investigation into Jacob's disappearance, but as far as he can go, he actually needs help and

2:04.4

he's kind of putting the call out to other investigators. Anyone in Florida who might be available,

2:11.2

you can certainly reach out to PIs for the missing and get in touch with John Fere so that way.

2:16.5

It's always interesting and I feel like I say it all the time, but I love getting that peak behind

2:20.9

the curtain regarding the inner workings of private investigations for the missing to know that

2:26.4

someone who is as experienced as John can take something so far. And it just goes to show you how

2:32.2

difficult this is even when you're not part of a law agency and you have other cases coming at you.

2:39.1

He took it as far as he could, dedicating and donating as much of his time as possible.
