Today we're continuing our thrilling adventure in our Elisha series.

In today's story, we find ourselves in a place called Samaria. Kids, you can pause and find

Samaria on a map if you like. Many of your Bibles will have a map in the back that you can use

to find it. Well, during the time of today's scripture, they'd experienced war, and now a famine.

Take a guess and say out loud what you think a famine is.

I think it has something to do with food.

A famine is when there isn't enough food for people to eat for a long time.

Imagine if your grocery store ran out of food and no new food came for a long time.

Sometimes this happened because there wasn't enough rain to grow crops.

Insects ate the plants destroying them, or even war could stop them from getting their food supply.

They had zip.

Zero.
