So you went to school in Cornell I did I did what was that like very different

from what I'm doing now yeah hotel school it was great was a lot of fun

the hotel school is a really small school. It's kind of like a high school within a really large campus.

It was a great experience though. I mean, I had a lot of fun, met really great people, and it's kind of what put me into the hotel industry or hospitality industry.

Why did you make that choice to begin with? Gosh it started with my father he went to

hotel school in Switzerland so I kind of was always around that and I thought that yeah maybe I'd want to go into that and work in hotels or travel a world doing that.

It's kind of how I how I started.

And I feel like you did a lot of trials of different kinds of aspects of the hospitality

restaurant and retail.

I really did.

I think I did it all almost.

You know, started in hotels, restaurants, all sides of the restaurant to the kitchen, front of house, everything,

working for distributors, suppliers.

What was that like?

You know, doing everything, if it doesn't teach you what you want to do to do what you don't want to do and you learn you know what what is out there where your options are I was always involved with wine to some degree and it was nice to be able to kind of dabble in every part of it to see what really drove me.

Yeah, I'm convinced that every step I took brought me to where I am today.
