It's a old pal, it's Charles Milton and Charles is reading a number of really, really fantastic books.

Not about the Second World War, but I'm glad to say that he was converted at an early stage

and got very stuck in and is the best setting author of D-Day, the soldier's story,

Churchill's Ministry of Ungenital Mindy Warfare which was a particular favourite of mine.

And now he's come back very, very strong with Chekmaid in Berlin.

Which is a new book, sort of the whole kind of what happened in Berlin at the end of the war and how it

sort of went from being a Soviet Union and the West Allies being allies to the Cold War.

What Charles, I think, is particularly good at, is homing in on those personalities

and bringing those people back to like put flesh on bones of people long gone.

And there's some particular favourites of mine in this one from all sides.

But the main reason coming on is not just to puff his book.

It's because it is of course the anniversary of the Potsdam Conference.
