Coming to you from Austin, Texas on Wednesday, March 18th, 2015, on day five of South by Southwest,

I saw two films, or I should say, I saw one film and one hunk of garbage.

The film, number 53, in my Douglas movies, 365 movies and 365 days challenge was Love and Mercy,

a very interesting biopic about Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys and how he was taken advantage of

by his doctor

and treated poorly by the rest of the boys from the beach and his father.

And the interesting thing about this movie is that John Cusack and Paul Dano both play Brian Wilson at different points in his life,

but somehow, and they look different, obviously,

but they both give such good performances and are in sync with each other in a way

that I've never seen before, and it's pretty impressive.

I slap a Doug digs it on love and mercy,

especially if you don't know much about what happened with Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys,

because I've never been a big Beach Boys fan. Uh, and after watching the movie, and now I know why, because it was Brian Wilson, who was the most

interesting member of that band, and was really coming up with some creative stuff and wanted

to move on from just that typical Beach Boy sound. Anyway, check it out. The hunk of garbage

was on purpose.
