Hey, hey, hey, short rounds. My name is Doug, and this is Doug Loves Minis, the show that is

already bored with what's going to happen at the Golden Globe Sunday night, except for Tina

and Amy, coming to you from a hotel room in Spokane, Washington, where I have a stand-up show

tonight at the Knitting Factory. I think there's a few tickets left, and we will

definitely, if there's name tags, we will play a game from Douglas movies at the end of the show.

It's Friday, January 9th, by the way, and the Douglas movies challenge of watching 365 movies

in 365 days rolls on.

Movie number five, a girl walks home alone at night.

No, it's not a distaff version of Home Alone.

It's an Iranian vampire movie.

First ever, I've been told.

Directed and written by a woman, Anne Lily Amirpour,

who is clearly very talented, but the black and white film is very slowly paced. So while I won't

say I dig it, I will say that I look forward to what else she does, and hardcore horror buffs should definitely check it out.

Movie number six, I got around a scene,

supporting characters. The first film written and directed by

Daniel Schechter past and future guests on Doug Love's movies whose movie life of crime was a

highlight of the Traverse City film festival last summer while I am biased because of my, you know, my friendship that I have

with Dan, I got to say I enjoyed it. Supporting Characters is a buddy movie of sorts, but they're not
