My name is Doug, and this is Doug Loves Minis, the show that might like sports movies more

than space movies, but might also be done with boxing movies.

Coming to you from Temp HQ in L.A. on Tuesday, December 15th, 2015. Since last time I spoke, you listened, I attended

Harry Knowles' But Numbathon, his annual 24-hour movie Marathon featuring old and very new,

like not even out yet, new movies. It's an eclectic lineup. Mr. Knowles' tasted movies seems to include

all genres and sub-genres. And I don't always like everything that he chooses to show,

but I appreciate the opportunity to experience seeing some of these unusual and sometimes

classic films on the big screen.

So sitting through a few movies I don't like seems like fair penance.

Where Harry really came through for me this year, unknowingly, is that eight out of 11 movies screened were new to me,

really helping with the DLM Challenge.

But let's go back to before that, movie number 302, Brooklyn.

I don't get what the fuss is about.

It's likable, likable heroin, likable settings.

Oh, and boring supporting characters.

If Circe Ronan and the cinematographer get nominations for Oscars, I won't complain.

Number 303, Uncle Nick, great companion piece for bad Santa. Maybe not as funny,

but equally fucked up. And my buddy Brian Possein is a top-notch creep as the title character.

Doug Diggs, Uncle Nick. Number 304, Ted 2. There was no reason to make it.

I do love that talking teddy bear, though, so I'll say Doug digs it, but I'll understand it if you politely decline checking it out. If you liked Ted 1, you'll probably get some laughs from Ted too. I didn't like the apple throwing at joggers
