0:36.1	Janette Patterson. Janette has been practicing therapists for the past 30 years, offering individual
0:43.5	couple and family therapy in non-profit agencies and in private practice. As a marriage and family
0:50.4	therapist, she specializes in LDED and ADHD issues as well as anxiety disorders and addiction
0:58.0	disorders in adolescents and adults. She's a consultant to private schools and other educational
1:04.5	educational facilities and lectures and presents regularly. In addition to her work as a therapist,
1:10.3	Janette has worked for the last 20 years in a variety of school settings as administrator,
1:15.6	teacher, mentor to other teachers and consultants to other schools. She currently works in private
1:21.5	practice in Westchester, Pennsylvania, offering marriage and family therapy and DVT therapy and
1:27.9	skills training. Today, Janette will address how we can help grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins,
1:37.3	all family members to really better understand ADHD and to contribute to solutions when we need them.
1:46.4	She will address common misperceptions about ADHD, explore strategies for improving interactions
1:53.3	with family members, suggest some advocacy skills and strategies and help us build a toolkit
