0:51.3	I have been fascinated by the ancient world, by ancient languages for most of my life at
0:57.0	this point. I was very fortunate to take Latin in eighth and ninth grade. I had no idea what I was
1:02.7	getting myself into when I did so. Everyone had always told me, you know, languages are hard,
1:08.3	Latin is hard, like, where are you taking that? And then I took it and it just clicked. I just loved this stuff. I had no idea that I was going
1:14.8	to love it this much, but I did. I ended up taking Spanish later in high school. And of course,
1:20.9	as many of Spanish is descended from Latin. It's one of the Romance languages. And that got me
1:25.7	hooked on connections between languages.
