| 4:36.0 | You've done quite a bit of work in relationship research and in the pre show we talked about a couple interesting areas. And I thought I would like to start with focusing on your work in studying cohabitation and particularly how it relates to marriage. |
| 4:54.0 | So maybe we could start with having you tell our listeners why you love researching relationships and then why you started this cohabitation study and then we'll dive into what you found. |
| 5:08.0 | Yeah, so why do I love researching relationships? I think a lot of it is because relationships are so integral to our lives. It's such an important part of how we shape our daily life. |
| 5:21.0 | And another thing that interests me about relationships is how much they've changed, especially in the last 70 years, where we've seen kind of changing gender norms. |
| 5:32.0 | We've seen the rise of the acceptability of same sex relationships. We've seen changes, you know, other sorts of changes that have impacted the families. So I'm basically interested in, you know, young adulthood, what's happening during that time and relationships, I think are a very important part of that. |
