Well that's good, that's good, but then you're going to get on a plane and go to Canada and

I'm coming, coming in hot. As I get a little bit of follow up here,

I found a great article unwired by Guillaume Shazlot.

Sounds like a totally fake name, but it's one of the programmers that worked on the YouTube

algorithm or the recommendations. So he's the son of a bitch.

Yep, that's pretty much the name like Guillaume Shazlot. I'm guessing he's in hiding and he just

made that up for the article, but it's a pretty interesting article that talks about the,

you know, the problems with the recommendation engine and filter bubbles and things like that.

So if you don't know why we bitch about it as much as we do, it's a good primer.

On getting up to speed on it and what people can do to kind of either protect yourself, which is,

you know, not follow all the recommendations all the damn time or, you know, stay off of YouTube,

but it also talks about how the companies need to actually take a little bit more responsibility

for creating this stuff because now they, if it's a really interesting way to profile people too,
