Thanks for having me. So tell us a little bit about the

the a sensios progression into the wine business. Well, I got into the wine trade shortly after I moved to New York City in 1998. Prior to that, I was teaching, and I moved to New York, and I always wanted to work in a wine store. But before that, when I was a teenager, I loved reading about wine. I picked up Kevin's

Ray Lee's book, Windows on the World, and I just read it, reread it. I love drinking

wine. I drank wine as much as I could afford which wasn't much you

know when you're in college etc I feel like that builds a better buyer if you can't

afford everything I it actually was really good but you know the strange thing is I knew one more theoretically than I actually did in practice which was interesting.

Did you find that you had like things you thought you weren't going to like and then you ended up liking them because of whatever?

Not really, not really. I mean everything was impressive. That was a dumb question.

You were just into it.

I didn't have any great opinions like I do today

about what I prefer to drink.

So what are some of those things you prefer to drink these days? Well, what I prefer to drink these days. Well what I prefer to drink personally is a lot of

wines from France and Italy that's by far... They make wine there.

Everything, exactly. That's by far everything that I drink. I tend to veer towards the

natural wines in general. I do drink that, but not just the natural wines because I feel like they're trendy and you

know hip and all that and that's the opposite of what I feel like I am but I enjoy their
