As a Marine veteran, Tim had guarded U.S. embassies around the world.

Reentry to civilian life was rocky, and he floundered, trying to recognize and harness the many skills he had acquired.

Then he seized on the idea of a podcast for veterans.

With a $10 microphone, a laptop, and stories to tell, he launched a podcast before most people even knew what that word meant.

Today, I'm delighted to bring you our featured guest, Timothy Lawson. Welcome, Timothy.

Thanks for having me. Timothy, are you using your talents doing work that you love? I absolutely am.

All righty. We want to hear the whole story. Timothy Lawson is a Marine Corps veteran, cancer survivor, and fellow

podcaster. He began podcasting more than

three years ago and has created several different programs. Currently, he hosts fuel for warriors,

follow your spirit, and one too many veteran suicide. Tim is best known for his efforts inside

the veteran community as a content creator and advocate for veterans issues.

Absolutely.

So currently, and something that actually just I left out of that bio because I'm not used to

including it yet is I'm also a content creator for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Oh, great.

And getting that job was the culmination of years of work in what I enjoyed doing and
