I'm James Damato, your host in GameMaster.

And this week we will be concluding our adventure of Visigoths versus Mall Goths.

But first, I've got some requests to make of you.

Heroes, everyone here at the One Shot Network supports and stands with the Black Lives Matter movement.

A lot of people are taught to look at racism as though it's some sort of personality flaw that only certain people can have

and you can educate yourself out of. But racism isn't a character flaw and almost no one is immune to its effects.

It's an ethos that has created a series of deeply interwoven institutions

that are part of our normal everyday lives, and passively allowing these institutions to exist

in the way they do actively enables racism.

And that means people lose their lives.

A lot of media outlets are portraying these protests as though they're the direct result of

George Floyd and his death at the hands of a police officer.

But Mr Floyd's death is only the latest and most publicized in a series of ongoing racial violence

that has plagued this country longer than I've been alive.

Being a white podcaster, so much of this is not my place to speak on.
