When I knew that that was coming, I had thought some weeks ago of trying to finish all of Mark and several big gulps and figured that wasn't possible for me and wouldn't be helpful for you.

And Robert Poland was sitting beside me, said that Mark is very skilled in his gospel with abrupt endings.

Very often the stories in Mark end very abruptly, and then he moves on.
