Welcome, I'm so glad you're here. My name is Carrie Green and I'm a retired pastor who's now a professional

podcaster, believe it or not, I make podcasts for a living.

And I am still, though, very eager for my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to live rightly in the world because it makes all the difference

in the world when we are living as children of God.

And that's why I produce this morning mindset.

to help you get your mind aligned with the truth of God.

All right today we are looking again at the Beatitudes and I wanted to take a little bit of time to look

at verse number five. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

What do you think of when you think of the word meek?

When I was a kid I had this impression that a meek person was kind of a weak person. I mean I would hear that

word meek and mild and I would think kind of negatively about the word.

But that's not what the word really means. Meek just means a person who's not out in front,

a person who is content to be behind the scenes serving being responsible being

consistent being a solid support in the background perhaps a make person does not push themselves forward.

I don't think it means that they don't have ambition,

it just means that they are not the go-getter,

the one that's out there in the front leading

the way.
