As a born and raised New Yorker, she was able to see and fall in love with Hamilton at the public, thanks to Lin's orthodontist of all people.

and after lots of Hamilton auditions and a quick stint at Harvard to make history as the first woman to be cast in a hasty pudding show,

Oh my gosh, it was crazy.

So obviously, before I mentioned, I auditioned for Peggy Mariah many, many times. It never worked out for me.

And I remember over the pandemic, I was like,

I wonder if they'll ever see me for the other sisters. I feel like I could do a lie, and I don't know.

Do they just see me as like too young for the other stuff, and will they ever see me again?

Maybe they just have seen me enough for Peggy Mariah, and they're like, it's not, you know, it's not for her.

And then at the beginning of the last year, what year is it?

At the beginning of 2022, about a year ago, I got called in for Eliza.

And I was like, oh my gosh, like finally, I'm like aging into this role that I'm so excited about.

I was really hype about it. I did myself tapes, sent everything in.

I didn't hear back for a little bit, and I was like, okay, you know, maybe not.
