Psalm chapter 1 verses 1 and 2

Blessed is the man who walks not in the Council of the Wicked, nor stands in the way of

sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord and on his law he meditates day and night.

What an incredible opening to a book full of 150 chapters, songs, prayers, laments that are all worthy of meditation which it's not just Psalms the whole Bible

is worthy of a meditation and that's that's the key word here.

This is the man or woman who is blessed, the one who meditates on the law of the

Lord on the word of God. It's interesting when you look through

scripture even more than you hear commands like to read the word or to study

the word you actually hear commands to meditate on the word

which means don't just hear it don't just understand it but internalize it like

let it soak in to your mind and to your heart.

Let it transform you.

Give it time to do that, which is why this Psalm says,

meditate on it day and night, like all day, all night.

So the idea is, Psalm 1 and 2, for example, you hear that at the beginning of your day and

then you just think about it all day long and a

Deuteronomy six kind of way maybe even you write it down and you put it up at different places so you're

constantly thinking about it so you're constantly focused on it

all the way until that night and you lay down your head on your pillow at night and

you're thinking, ah, blessed is the man or woman who delights in the law of the Lord.

And you just meditate on that, think about it, internalize it all day long.
