It says in 1 Timothy 610 that for the love of money is the root of all evil.

The Bible talks a lot about leaving your material possessions behind and walking away from

those things.

And I think so much of the significance is because money can tear you apart.

Money can make you think that it's all you need to be happy. And then you can get a lot of it.

And then all you really think is, I want more. Or you think I want to boast in what I have.

Or you just think, okay, I have a lot of it. Now what? And I love that the Bible is so consistent.

I love that it doesn't say one thing, one time and another thing another time.

Now, I know that it can be really confusing because there are certain times or certain people

are speaking to certain churches about certain things. And so it might feel contradictory.

But when you really do study, and especially when you're talking about these basic principles

that are mentioned countless times, it is very consistent. And Proverbs 19 literally

kicks off talking about money, which is something that Proverbs has talked about a lot.

Like I told you, it also talked about, it says it in Timothy, and all throughout the Bible.

But we're focusing on Proverbs 19 today because we are a little over halfway through our

knowledge and whoever moves too quickly misses the turn. Ew, I've already got stuff on that.

I'm just going to write that down. Um, verse three, foolishness diverts the course of life.
